I do like the pictures (and brilliant publicity for Vanessa ;D) as a Vanessa fan but as Monique said on the last page I feel that if this was the first time you saw Vanessa I don't think they have brought out the best of her. They are lovely pictures but I think they could have been better for such a high profile magazine  . On the plus side no matter what pictures it should boost exposure for her here which will hopefully bring a wave of new photo's and fans ;D |

Does Vogue do reader responses like other magazines? I feel like it doesn't, but it would be interesting to see what they'd put in the commentary sent in. |

I have to say I don't like the shoot very much either... I think she looks just fine, and I still really do like the cover and the black and white photo... but the other photos... I just don't like the style, it's nothing against Vanessa.

 Thank you very much for these new pics !  I agree when people say she looks a bit older on this cover, maybe it's because of the hairstyle... The first time I saw the cover, I did not recognize her... But I find her beautiful, as always, even if it is not my favorite photoshoot. I agree with you Meixang when you say "too much Chanel kills Chanel", I thought the same thing when I saw the pic where Vanessa wears this "imposing belt " with "Chanel" written on it with big letters. It's a little too much... ;D On the cover, it seems Vanessa wears this golden jacket from the collection Paris-Byzance by Chanel... Even if I find it "too much", I think it looks better on Vanessa... ;D Attachments:

I just got the magazine today after being away for a while & I have to agree that whilst being on the cover is so amazing, the interview & shoot are a little disappointing, but then I have found this with nearly all of Vanessa's interviews in recent years. She is so guarded in comparison with interviews like this one www.johnnydeppfan.com/interviews/nova.htm from back in 2000 or this interview from a couple of years later www.youtube.com/watch?v=xp0q51hD574 . Its just a shame because part of the reason I like her so much is because you feel like you know her almost. I totally understand her reticence to be revealing but its just a shame that she seems much more distant these days. The shoot definitely doesn't do justice to her looks, the styling & hair is just not flattering although I think her make-up is lovely. But it is great exposure, I just hope that this exposure doesn't make her close up even more, that would be sad. And I also hope that readers who weren't familiar with her go & check her out themselves, they'd probably get a much better impression. |

Also they are reporting on Vogue's website that Vanessa is modelling for Tom Ford's womenswear with a number of other celebs is this video, but I just don't think its her! Thank you for the two interviews, nice to see/ read them again No, that wasn't Vanessa in the show. It is a shame she is more guarded these day but I can understand that wouldn't want to share everything with the world  . Maybe she'll feel more comfortable soon with the UK market to share more |
