Yeah this definitely isn't the first time Johnny has mentioned the project. It's just been awhile since it's come up in interviews for him is all.

I've had this video recorded for ages but only put it up now. Its from MTV News UK & in it Vanessa talks about My American Lover & Tim Burton.
Its nearly a year old & I really hope some progress has been made since! Can't see how this movie could be anything other than amazing.

Thanks so much!! I posted that in the video forum, did'nt know you uploaded it! I'll delete it there. THANKS girl! She's sooo adorable. I'd rather have coffee with Tim Burton than get up the courage to ask him for a job  I'm sure some progress has been made, but it's probably very slow progress and the three of them (with Lasse) are so busy.... I'll be happy if they do it before 2015  You know what gets me upset... when you know that an interview was more complete and you only get to see 20 seconds of it. Like, I'm sure she talked to MTV about Heartbreaker and other things, but what do they do with those clips? No one sees them and us fans are deprived  |

No problem at all, my pleasure, its nice to finally share it with you all! I had it saved on my TV for ages & then just decided to try upload it so its just recorded with my camera, crappy quality but you get the idea!
I love hearing her speak about Tim, I'd LOVE her to be in one of his films, I think she'd be perfect! I wish he'd cast her in one of his films too!
She does say 'its not ready YET' so lets hold out hope for 'My American Lover', hopefully all Johnny/Vanessa movies aren't cursed! It would be such a good story to tell too & so amazing to see them acting together....

yes it must be and old interview from a few months before vanessa denied the rumors however i always had the idea that this film would never happen idk why but i always suspected it so i'm not surprised or not too disappointed 'cause i knew this film will stay as words sad because we will never see them together on a film but at least we know they are together in real life |

Seen that interview a few hours ago. I'm still not sure, does anybody know when this interview happened?
I'd rather believe Vanessa's words, she denied the rumors and it doesn't sound normal that she'll say that 'rumors of this kind can hurt her kids' yet they're true and she'll deny them anyway. So I believe her words anyway.
I didn't really expect this movie to work, even though I wanted it to!

I didn't really expect this movie to work, even though I wanted it to! i think the same, and yes i believe in vanessa, when she was interviewed on 2010 the interviewer asked if her and johnny had fights and she said yes but is not like they were about to breakup also in 1999 johnny said on a interview that they were separate because of his fault, but they got back together so they'll not lie about their relationship status they are private but not liars, it doesn't make any sense, also vanessa would never lie about such a thing and use her kids just to lie, i think due to johnny agenda the film got canceled and lasse is out and he hasnt heard about vanessa denials or maybe this interview is old |

If it is a recent interview it definitely sound like he's basing it on the rumours and that he hasn't spoken to either of them in a while. As it says in the interview, he's out of the loop.
