I don't know where else post this, and for the person who thought Vanessa is no longer working with Chanel, of course not, like we all said Vanessa is no newbie for Chanel she has been working with them for more than 20 years and of course her lovelife has nothing to do with that, news from The Hollywood reporter Industry reports have Pitt raking in around $7 million for the Chanel endorsement.
Chanel will also call in other celebrities -- notably all female and not in the fresh face category -- including Ali MacGraw, Catherine Deneuve, Candice Bergen, Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tautou and Vanessa Paradis.  So many people, but... OH !!! Congratulations to Vanessa, she beat Angelina Jolie... but lost to Brad... ;D After of 90 years... a man with scent of woman... and many famous people with Vanessa...  Strange...

I´m sorry... Maybe this no strange, this is normal... Just thought Vanessa was the Great Muse of Channel, could do this, not Brad Pitt. If they want, a man, Johnny Depp the best!!!

Chanel was looking for a man for this campaign, Brad Pitt is now the first man ever promoting the perfume Coco Chanel Nº 5 , such an honor for him (I guess) , but I think he is the wrong choice, but of course he gives them a lot of attention with his potential star power, but for me he just doesn't fit in Chanel and then I don't work with Chanel so it's their choice lol, but if it was in my hands I'd chose someone more stylish of the likes of Jude Law (but Jude works with Dior) or the same Gaspard Ulliel that already worked with them in Bleu de Chanel... there are plenty of people but they chose Brad, odd...

Johnny? haha, I don't think so, Johnny is not the kind of man who would like to promote a man fragance for Chanel or neither the kind of man Chanel will look for, in my humble opinion, Brad is probably not the best choice but then he is a lot more stylish if that makes sense... somewhat he fits more in CHANEL than Johnny Vanessa was the face and modelled for Chanel many times but only once the face of the fragance Coco Nº 5 that was 20 years ago.. but I'm glad she is still working with them (I knew she would not stop working with them, but anyway...) Chanel loves Vanessa and Vanessa loves Chanel ;D It's been 20 years she is the great Chanel muse  |

Vanessa was the face of coco chanel n 5 I didn´t know it... Very strange now, Brad subbtitute Vanessa-The-Principal-Muse now... Before that someone tell me, I know Nicole Kidman and others (coco n 5)... I didn´t say that Johnny want it... hahahaha... I said that Johnny is the best... just it...hahaha. Chanel and Brad Pitt, now that's crazy stuff, I think he would look better in Dior Homme or something like that I can't see him in Chanel but I'm curious to see the Ad, I wonder what kind of envolvement is this time for Vanessa acording to what the hollywood reporter says, a photoshoot maybe? an event/meeting? or a book like The Little Black Jacket? I'm very curious as always ;D But looks like she is very busy now and is ditching a little the modelling and the films for the new album and that's great, it's been 5 or 6 years since a new album with full new songs, all we heard in the latest years were recycled songs from other albums and a few collaborations with other singers so I'm glad finally we will have a new album with new music ;D

Brad Pitt doesn't really do much for me, and I really don't think he'll encourage women to buy No 5, its a ladies' perfume, why have a man fronting its campaign? Weird. For me Chanel's best ad ever was Vanessa's for Coco, Nicole Kidman for No. 5 and Estella Warren as Red Riding Hood for No.5. All magical adverts, and Chanel hasn't come close to replicating them recently, Dior has been making great adverts lately.
I *wish* Vanessa would have made an advert (with Jean Paul Goude again) for the new fragrance Coco Noir, thats an ad I would love to see!

I tried to find the right thread for this because I know Vanessa attended this event in 2010 but I can't see it in the relevant Public Appearances thread so thought I'd put it here, feel free to move - I just saw an article today saying that the Chanel Metiers d'Art will be held in Edinburgh on Dec 4th this year. Just for any fans in the UK, how wonderful would it be if Vanessa attended?!
