So glad to see her looking healthy and content. She always seems so at ease when she's in France. Naturally, as it's her homeland! I'm just happy to see her looking so comfortable.

it is so nice too see everybody commenting how great she looks, I know it's silly but it makes me happy, even the usual nasty websites admitted that she looked great, she actually did  and lainey hasn't covered it, it's so weird because she is always pendent of Vanessa and it's all over the web, maybe she is just sick of the rumors and she doesn't wanna update it, like us she is pissed off by that stuff, in other note looking this great is a big slap in the face to all the vicious tongues out there ;D |

I think one thing that would make everyone much happier is if they didn't constantly monitor trashy gossip sites like "laney." These are people who have no facts and they just stir up ugly gossip. Why does it matter what people like that are saying? Vanessa absolutely hates those kind of things.

Why does it matter what people like that are saying? Vanessa absolutely hates those kind of things. I don't understand why my comments bugs you so much  maybe you didn't understand my comment, I just said i was waiting for lainey to post the new photos of vanessa since she is a huge fan of her and she always has exclusive photos of her just that (and at least with vanessa she is not trashy at all like us she is always mad with nasty rumors about her) that's why i go there ONLY WHEN THERE ARE NEW PHOTOS OF VANESSA I don't monitor lainey or any other website, and why can't i be glad because of all the positive comments around the web on her appearance? and I am sure Vanessa will not hate people calling her beautiful and gorgeous |

Vanessa looks nice in these photos, but how are they different from her other photos at public events? She's always looked beautiful at public appearances, not just lately. Admittedly, she looks vastly different without makeup. Those are the photos they publish when they want to say nasty things. I find it amusing that they look at these new photos and talk about how much better she looks. I've never seen her at a premiere or fashion appearance when she didn't look just as nice. I still say reading gossip site comment boards is something Vanessa would hate, regardless if they were saying she was "beautiful." Years back, a guy had a great site for Van. He knew her well enough to visit her movie sets. His site had no gossip and he was very respectful. Then she commented that she disliked fan pages on herself, felt them intrusive. As much as he loved doing a fan site for her, her shut it down, to honor her wishes. Does this sound like an actress who would enjoy what a gossip site said about her?

Then she commented that she disliked fan pages on herself, felt them intrusive. As much as he loved doing a fan site for her, her shut it down, to honor her wishes. Never heard of that. I can't remember the name, it was in '98. It was early in relationship with Johnny and she was filming Girl on the Bridge. It was the only site I found for her. I knew nothing about her, but because of her relationship with Johnny, I was looking for something on the net. I found this site, ran by a young man. You have to remember the internet was much different 14 years ago. I only got to read it for a month or two before he shut it down. He visited her on the set of that film and he would give updates on her. He seemed like a really nice guy. I went to the site one day and he had announced he was shutting down the site. He said he felt bad because she had mentioned how uncomfortable she found that sort of thing.

I was here, again !!!! (sorry for the late) I met some others fans that day and deux others I met the day before! What a dilemma we had: a photocall was planned! We don't know where to expect Vanessa to try to have photo with her or an autograph. At the opening of the room, we ran like idiots to be in fistst place lol! we had our first places  Finally two of us gone to see the photocall. I follow and join us. We talk with the mother of the little David who was also there for the photocall. They posed with him. The mother was very kind to us. Then I tried to put myself in the middle of pro photographers. I was told that I could not (logic), I shifted on the side. Then ... Vanessa has arriveeeeeeeed! Ah, the heart starts to beat very fast! She's with Denis Menochet (and Philippe. Vanessa went to be alone with P. then returned to the photocall. It's strange to be among the pro-photographers who saying 'left', 'right'! A first for me! We followed the procession to the room (for my part I was right behind her ^ ^) and returned to our seats. They each speak in turn. They leave. Then suddenly Sandrine beckons me and said 'Emma, we try?!' I brought up the rear! Vanessa goes right, we go left in the stairs. We run. We are then three after her. Sandrine, another (apparently a Vaness' fan too) and myself. I called out to ask her a picture. She says 'but you will miss the movie'. Sandrine: we have already seen yesterday at the MK2. No time to react. 'The other', phone in her hand succeded her picture with Vanessa. While we, well, ANYTHING, no look, no smile. She is already gone with Philippe. Booooh, Sandrine and I are just disgusted. It's been a shock to be throw like that. F*CK ! We were only three! We were so closed to her... Anyway, it will be for the next time ... I hope! Wow Meixang that's sounds so exciting, cannot believe you got to speak to her, how wonderful!
Not to change the subject but Cari just because Vanessa wouldn't go on celebrity news sites, doesn't mean that Valentina as a fan shouldn't either, we are all individuals, what interests one person won't interest another and vice versa.
I know that if I were famous I would cringe at the thought of a fansite in my honour, I think most people would. But as we all know Vanessa is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, she has read biographies on her etc. Who's to say that if Marilyn were alive today that Vanessa wouldn't follow her on a fansite?
And yes Vanessa usually looks gorgeous at her premieres but prior to her seperation from Johnny, the only photos usually published of her in the media were casual ones without makeup deliberately chosen to get people to make nasty comments about her, as you said. But now with the extra coverage of her breakup, photos of her looking her best are being used and so for a change the public are leaving nicer comments than usual. No harm in enjoying the good coverage for a change is there??
