"But how do you get organized with your children between two continents, with shootings, concerts...? That's complicated, but it's a part of my private life. I really don't want to speak about that with you. It's none of your reader's business.." I realize of course she is right about this but I found it rather offense. I felt the same way!

I'm French too and I agree it sounds rude even in French.

Yeah at first I thought her answer was kind of rude but now I think, on her place I would have answered pretty much the same, that question was quite invasive and considering how protective she is with her privacy, and even more if the subject is her children, the interviewer should have seen that 'rude' answer coming before even asking it .

Well I'll second Valentina and say my opinion again...in her position, it's a bit of a problem for her to answer such a question so freely. I didn't get offended by her answer, personally, I understand her reasons to say it in such a way. Sometimes people can't control their words immediately and say whatever pops in their minds, guess that this is what happened here aswell. The whole situation is delicate and I don't expect her to react in a different way, even though we would all rather hearing her saying it in a nicer way...but that's how she said it and it's okay for me, anyway. I don't think the interviewer should've asked her at first, it's obvious that she wouldn't give an answer about it.

^Agree again!
I remember 5 year ago she was asked about Lily Rose's illness and she said "I'm going to talk about that" but the interviewer kelpt on and she said "I told you i'm not going to talk about that",I didn't blame her back than for that reply and i don't blame her now for this reply.

I don't expect her to answer that question and really I don't give a damn about how she handle her schedule but she should've said it in a polite way.She has been a celebrity for a long time she had to learn how to dismiss private questions politely.

I think Vanessa usually tells interviewers what questions she wont answer. When they ask them anyways, she can be terse with them. But I dont think she was rude.

I think rudeness is in the interpretation of the reader! I think she was being abrupt in a way that the interviewer would know not to ask her again. We don't know when this interview actually took place. It takes a little time from the time the interview takes place until the magazine comes out. Also, doing these interviews is for the promotion of the movie, not to discuss her personal life. I have a feeling if she were not promoting a movie she probably would not be doing interviews.
I have noticed that both Johnny and Vanessa have become extremely private lately. I think they are both in "protective mode" because of the beating they took by the tabloids.

I agree pearl...it was the interviewer asking the invasive question not us readers...we would not do that. So for her to say it is none of your readers business which is us I find offensive. I may get over and I may not

I think rudeness is in the interpretation of the reader! I agree. She wanted to make a clear point to the interviewer. How she handles her personal schedule really is none of my business I suppose. I'm not offended.

Of course it's for the promotion of the movie. It's good that she didn't answer the question because if she did,the interviewer would ask more private questions so she needed to stop it before it began. But l'm not comfortable with the way of her doing it.I know some celebrities who dismiss this kind of questions without being rude.I'm kind of dissapointed in her.
By the way thanks for the article. She looks gorgeous.

Its strange though because she goes on to talk about Jack's personality, which I would have thought she would be more guarded about than questions about how she manages her schedule with her family life, something that a lot of working women struggle with on a less grand scale of course! I am nostalgic for the days years ago when Vanessa loved nothing more than to tell everyone about her relationship, her children etc, made me feel like I knew her a little bit. But I totally understand that things have changed and why she feels the need to be more guarded these days. As fans we were quite spoiled by her and Johnny's openness in the past I suppose. Nice interview though, and a reminder that she will be 40 this year, I had forgotten & can't quite believe it! I hope she's still working when she's 60

Yes, I don't really understand what is so private and indiscreet in telling about her schedule and organization with her children...

Again, I have followed Vanessa for a long time. Interviewers are told exactly what areas they can talk about and what they can't. Some of them have even said things like" I know you don't want to answer any personal questions...but.." and then go on to ask her a personal question!!! Believe me these people usually try and get away with it everytime. I would bet you that she was warned not to ask these types of questions. She did, and she got what she deserved. I am not sorry, Vanessa is not all that forgiving of reporters.
And they know that well before doing the interviews!!
