Never before have I read a celebrity's interviews where such praise was heaped upon his partner as Johnny Depp did about Vanessa Paradis - he literally worshiped her. Disappointing and hard to believe that they are breaking up.

I totally agree with her. How many times have couples refered to their partners as their soul mate only to split then say the same thing about the next guy. At least shes realistic and honest and i dont believe in marraige either as its an out dated old fashioned institution. A soul mate can be anyone not just a partner. It can be your cat, dog best friend child or mother ect. Just cherish relationships when your in them. Dont think long term and enjoy them and if they end look back with love and dont get bitter and twisted. Love is many things to many people and something to be cherished .

Photos of Vanessa Paradis show cynicism and even a note of hardness. She does what she has to as we all do. I hope neither Depp or Paradis is spending too much time on upgrading and reinforcing defensive hard shells around their hearts. I find her comment healthy. We all need to reflect and think deeply about ourselves in order to be the best we can be. And she was referring to her acting role! It is disrespectful to assume it is about her marriage!

I, for one, agree with Vanessa'a views on soulmates. Anyway, there's absolutely nothing wrong with what she said. In fact, she said some incredibly beautiful things too. It's just a shame that certain media outlets are going to magnify the "negative" comments or blow them up into something they're clearly not. |
