The press is now having a field day with Vanessa, making her out to be a screaming shrew, who wanted out 2 years ago, and was only interested in Johnny's money. What a joke. I can't believe he is allowing the press to say such horrible things about Vanessa.
I want Vanessa to be happy. I hope she is happier now that the news is out, and she is back in France. I just feel so awful, that the press is now slinging its mud at her!!

One gossip columnist said Johnny should send a thank you note to Tom Cruise! So true, that's what I was thinking. Cruise's divorce will go through the courts, with lawyers, and all that crap. No matter what the tabloids said about Johnny and Vanessa, I sincerely believe they have worked out things peacefully, between them. Neither Johnny or Vanessa are big spenders, preferring a more simple life. He said once, what money meant to him was the ability to have privacy. He doesn't have a fleet of cars, or houses everywhere (regardless of what the press says). He bought his L.A. house almost 20 years ago and his vehicles were a Porsche (bought in '94 and a old pickup truck. They had a black suv in the last few years. I have a feeling if they keep the house in France, it will be Vanessa's. I'm betting things will remain very civil and well thought out. And I bet what is bet for the kids will be their first priority. |

If vanessa is in france...then who are the children with.? We don't know where Vanessa has been but I assume she has been with the children in LA or in France. Until the last few days, the kids have been out of the public eye for awhile so they could have been in France. Now that her promotional duties are about to start up again they appear to have returned home. Bill Carter has been in LA recently doing some recording so he and Ruth may be their caretakers while JD is on set. I really hate that LR is being hounded by the press. It is sick, deviant on the pap's part. I don't think she should be locked away just to avoid the attention, though. Let her be a teenager testing her wings and wandering around with her friends. She is being well protected. |

That's a "fantasy"...that he can move a finger and stop the press... if that were easy then we would not see all those stupid reports about Brangelina (married, separated, she pregnant, she has leukemia or is anorexic, addicted, etc) every weekend... Johnny doesn't give interviews to these magazines (nor "US Weekly" nor "People Magazine", "Ok", "Now", etc, etc)...so they lose nothing making him angry (that's why media as "Vanity Fair", "Enterntainment Weekly" and even "E!" (suddenly stopped covering this) or "ET" are "hush-hush" and very careful...because they talk with him for movie promotions) He can't sue them (and to win) because in America, he has to prove that these media had "malicious intentions" when they published those articles...and trying to prove that is virtually impossible!!  |

crap i am in my cellphone not in my computer so i cant enter to sites like cb, i know it must be false but i loved lenny and vanessa together and in 2009 he called her perfect regretted their split and that he wants to see her again one day

I don't think she meant to disrespect him. I read the comment as being she can't believe he wouldn't at least say something to put these lies to rest. But then again, there are so many rumors going around now surrounding the breakup, and so far they're both staying quiet about them all.

I know kittycat88 and she is a true blue Johnny and Vanessa fan. I am sure she didn't mean anything against Johnny. kittycat is just terribly hurt by all the awful things the so called press is saying against Vanessa, as we all are. They really are slimeballs.

chou, i know they never talked again anymore its just my silly wish lol, but he said he wants to see her again and 'talk' and he said it when she was happily living with Johnny and their children now she is back in the 'market' where there was fire the ashes remain not sure if she would have interest but that would make me very happy ;D , lenny is not perfect he made mistakes and has a lot of bad fame with women (he cheated on his wife lisa bonet but later he made an album to express how depressed he went) and by the time it was rumored that Vanessa was the cause of their divorce because he and vanessa 'started dating' in 1992 by the moment he was getting divorced of lisa but vanessa said it was crap and she is not a homewrecker probably when she met him his marriage was over, he looks so sweet he seems very very nice in an interview in 1992 Vanessa called him the sweetest person she ever meet, and again, I really liked them together I am sure he loved her (although they tried to hide they relationship so much back then) but there were pictures and videos where they were kissing (in the lips) hugging also nude pics in a nudist beach it's undeniable they had something strong and passionate going on for years, that not to mention the music they made is beautiful and so sexy have you heard silver and gold or lonely rainbows?  at least she is in debts with him, he said he wants a talk no? |

I totally support you--it's awful what is being written about both of them. It's ironic that they are both such private people--and look what's happening now in the cyber world about them. Maybe they just both have decided to let things run their course, stay low key--eventually this will all be "old" news. No one knows what went on between both Johnny/Vanessa & unless one of them writes a memoir, we will never know. Everything being printed right now is speculation & it's amazing how many "sources" are now coming forward with information. Then again, maybe now that the split is official, these people feel it's OK to do so. In any case, my concern is also for the kids. I hope Johnny/Vanessa have truly separated on decent terms & will stay friendly for their children's sake; the children will always connect them in some way. |

No, he said those comments, a few friends of mine were at many of the rope lines and they heard him say it and they did not know what to say. They just figured he was having a real bad day. It's interesting that you share this. I was at the filming of PE and it happened to be the day after his birthday. When he was in front of me, I was lucky enough to wish him "Happy Birthday"! The look he gave me was one of utter appreciation and a little surprise. I remember thinking, "Why are you looking surprised - your fans know your birthday - and we appreciate you"! He broke out into the hugest genuine smile that stayed on his face until he went inside. I remember thinking how amazing it was that such a simple, normal thing could provoke such genuine happiness in him when (I thought at the time) he had the world at his feet. Now I wonder just how happy his birthday was that year. Now I wonder if even though the world was at his feet, was his personal world actually crumbling around him? |

well, personally I do what some fans of Angelina and Brad do, you know they have a rumor about them everyweek and sometimes these are veery nasty and these get published everywhere as facts they take it with sarcasm, that's what I do, getting mad or sad at it it's useless, i just read these rumors with sarcasm you know I won't be crying or getting headaches for what a stupid tabloid says and prints, I love Vanessa and that won't change for any rumor she is a good person she did nothing to deserve this but hey, like she does movies and music they create buzz, it's their job like her job is doing movies and music, and I am very used to it now and I will support her at least in the cyber world, I miss the old days where we never had rumors about her but now the split happened it will never stop, it won't last forever like brangelina stories with jennifer aniston, but these rumors will last for some time there's nothing we can do or nothing they can do to stop it, but if Johnny could give a little little statement trough his publicist that will calm people a little and it will make the stories seem less reliable to people and eventually disappear...

I don't know why anyone would think Johnny would or should "give a little statement" about his and Vanessa's personal life. It is no one else's business, and he certainly does not need to acknowledge or deny anything said in the tabloids. Any reasonable person can recognize crap when they hear/read it. I don't understand why this subject is dragging on here. They split up. Life goes on; time to move on here and focus on Vanessa's projects/movies/music.
I think this thread has changed the tone of this website, which used to be a lovely place to celebrate Vanessa's accomplishments.
And yes, I know I don't have to come to this Rumors thread if I don't like it. It's like a train-wreck -- you don't want to look but you can't look away either.
