I know it's delicate but to ovoid polluting the others threads each time someone talk about rings and others things, I've decided to create a topic for members who want discuss about it.
Those who don't want to hear about it, they do not come here so...
MeixangI do wish to address the ring topic. I was a regular poster on the old bb and a very responsible one. I was not on these boards for the rumor discussions, as I have only recently found these boards. I made an observation here and was accused of being a troll. I am not. I am a fan who is concerned - like the rest of you. Just because I pointed out a fact (she is not wearing her ring), does not mean I have bad intentions. Like the rest of you, I wish Vanessa only happiness. But I call them as I see them and I would like my opinions respected as I respect each of you. Hello bibelot. The thing is, that I, and many other people I believe, don't think this issue should be discussed. It's non of our bussiness, and Vanessa said by herself that the rumor isn't true. Who would you like to believe-the 'sources' of the tabloids or Vanessa? I chose to believe Vanessa, I have no reason to deny her words. The tabloids proved themselves as unreliable, they spread lies to make more money. Have you heard of the latest rumor, that Johnny "spent time with Ashley Olsen" while he was in NY? Well, in fact, Ashley Olsen was in the Oscars during that time, so it's an abvious lie-a proof that the tabloids are spreading lies. I do respect you and I'm sorry if I was rude. But as I said, I don't think that Vanessa's private life should be discussed. Vanessa already made a comment about it and I believe it's enough. We should just let it fade away. Have a good day.

Lotanx, thank you very much for the response. I truly appreciate it and your point of view.
I was always drawn to these boards, because it was one of the very few where we were allowed to share our feelings and p.o.v without fear of "censorship".
It is here that we can get a glimpse (if we choose to do so) of the kiddies. It was here that we could discuss anything, and it was always respectful and respected.
Of course, discussing every little tabloid story is not appropriate and I honestly cannot ever remember a time when that happened on this board. Posters here are too savvy and respectful to participate in such nonsense. However, the break-up rumors (and the fact that the ring is missing) is an entirely different thing. Fans CARE - and it's special to have this safe spot where feelings and concern can be expressed without reproach. JMHO.

Okay bibelot, we both explained our opinions. Nothing wrong with yours, we just see things in a different way. I am concerned about it but with it, I believe Vanessa, with the ring or without it. I personally think we shouldn't discuss the rumours anymore. We've done that countless times and always come to the conclusion we still have no idea (and why should we). I stopped looking at those sites a month or two ago as it's just ridiculous now. Unless either of them says anything I'm just trying to ignore it.
I like that I can come here and see Vanessa news and new pics without having to see all that. But that's just me.

I fully agree with you rednev. That's exactly my opinion.
I completely stopped reading in these shallow sites months ago, they cause nothing but damage. I really think we shouldn't discuss about it, that's the only way to make it fade away. But as I said, that's my humble opinion.
And I really think this thread slips to the wrong places. x:

(: i dont know what happened but its easy to know and i totally agree i think we should add it on a visible place like johnny-depp.org added on their banner they say that they don't post (and for sure neither discuss rumors) my humble opinion that will stop the 'trolls' or whoever it is, if they want to discuss all that magazine and websites **** fine for them but this is not the place also when the topic is about other thing, right meixang or am i wrong? |

I completely agree roumors should b left aside... No point in discussing them anymore... Whatever the truth on the matter is, it's none of our business. Vanessa is a very private person & it's one of the reasons I admire her.

Here's my 2 cents for what its worth. As a big VP fan I feel like I know Vanessa. She has shared so much of her life with us, from falling in love with Johnny to her love for her children, both in interviews and in her music. Bliss is the best example of this. So for me it was hard not to be concerned when those rumors circulated. Usually I ignore them but her not wearing her 'love ring' made be think there may be a grain of truth in there somewhere. I would be genuinely upset if Johnny & Vanessa split. This forum was the only place to discuss those concerns objectively as everyone else here also loves Vanessa & is used to sorting rubbish rumors from ones that MAY have some basis.
To decide that we should never discuss any of Vanessa's personal life (good or bad) on here, for me, would be disappointing. She has shared so much of her life with us & I don't think she would feel angry about fans' genuine concern, more likely she is angry about unreliable publications speculating about her. Having said that she has denied the rumors & this is obviously one aspect of her personal life that she is not ready to discuss yet if ever. So until she does, it is pointless to speculate any further, unless something relevant comes to light. I really hope Johnny & Vanessa stay together forever and even if they don't I'd support her to the end. Sorry for going on but wanted to get it all out there!

I'd like to express MY OWN OPINION again and say that I think that the best way to respect Vanessa is not to discuss her personal life. She said what she had to say about this issue and we should be satisfied with that. Time will tell. I trust her words anyway. As I said, the only way to stop the rumors is to stop discuss about them, it'll be more respectful for Vanessa anyway.
But that's my opinion. (:

But that's just me. it's not just you only, i think is everybody who is a true fan of vanessa, I already messaged the moderator for this thing here, hope we can do something about this issue because this really needs to stop we need to be more strict like some johnny's forum do they directly delete/modify any message speculating or discussing about all that stuff about them lately, we should do that.. in my humble opinion you can go to every website to discuss that but discussing it here (because these rumors are on every website all of them) but on new photos it would change nothing or it will not makes us know anything, the only thing it does is cause fights between us |

Checked all bibelot's posts and all she want to talk about is ring and rumors. Nothing new, just all stuff we heard before, looks like trying to turn back discussion to split gossips again.

Evochka, whether if is a troll or not, I think these discussions should be stopped. Like you, I noticed that all of bibelot's posts are about the rumors and the ring, and I'm not very fond of it.
Anyway we stir in this issue too much. As I said before, I think that the best way to respect Vanessa is to stop discussing about it, I'm sure she wouldn't want people to talk about it just like that.

Thanks for the pics!!! About rumors why not start a topic for rumors and talk about it there. I agree Kim but the topics that had been designated for that discussion have been locked. It would make more sense if those who didn't want to participate in that conversation just didn't look at those topics. I'm not interested in discussing the split rumors anymore but I am interested in her personal life too so I think I'm going to head over to vp.net where they allow for discussion of most topics. I much preferred this forum but I find it has changed a lot since it has moved to Proboards. On the old forum we discussed everything to do with Vanessa with respect & love & never had issues. It seems a lot of the old posters have gone now & the atmosphere here, while it is good, is not quite the same. So I think I shall love you all & leave you for a while because I wouldn't want to offend anyone with my posts. |

I think it was easier to discuss her personal life in the past, because there never were such massive rumors of splitting their relationship. They lived their life without scandals until now. It's easier to discuss the 150. rumor about their supposed marriage than to discuss if they are not together anymore because it's a positive one. And as long as no one of both will clearly deny....and I mean really clearly....the rumors, so long it will be going on with speculations, everywhere. It's in the nature of things unfortunately.

I think we all care deeply about Vanessa. Somehow, through her films or music she has brought some magic into our lives. I also have a bit of an ache in my heart, I want her to be happy!! But I believe in her, her choices. She has said it isn't true and I believe her. She has given me so much happiness and enjoyment in my life. I keep happy thoughts for her.
