I am going to give my personal opinion on these ridiculous rumours. Personally I don't think its anybody's business if they did break up or not. I mean we must respect Vanessa's privacy. With the ring perhaps she lost it or so it does not mean they are not together anymore. Also I am SICK AND TIRED of seeing stories on the front pages of tabloids with Johnny's face somewhere on the cover with a stupid headline saying he with so and so. One I saw last week made me laugh so hard! It was claiming he was seeing one of the Olsen twins LOL
But what I'm getting at is we should mind our own business if Vanessa is no longer with Johnny. Personally I don't believe it, I think it is complete rubbish. I don't want to start a fight just want to get my opinion out there on this 'issue'.

Agree!!! About the rumors i don't believe all this crap  and maybe Vanessa is not wearing her ring to event's because she don't want to start up any new getting married rumors,which i would love right now!!!lol  |

Sorry, I didn't have any intention to spread rumors  I just posted it because the same media that- weeks ago- were creating so much negativity about them, now are declaring that (really) they didn't know anything ( what I highlighted in black ) I'm sorry, I believed that this was the right place And sorry about my english |

And of course they don't know anything! Where are their 'reliable' sources now...?
They're just trying to make money. All the time. The media will attach ANYONE to the person their talking about. By the tabloids, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie broke up for 10 million times. Did it ever actually happen? Nah.
We need to wait for an actual statement. Personally I think these rumors are pure rubbish.

I remember bibelot from the old forum and she was never one to dwell on the rumours. I've seen her referred to as a "troll" here and haven't thought it very appropiate, just because she posts about the whereabouts of Van's ring - I have noticed the missing 'love ring' often and wondered myself. I think Kim's suggestion of a separate thread for rumours is a very good one - whoever wants to post can post and these comments won't be posted around the rest of the forum so whoever doesn't like them won't be bothered by them! I also agree with Emilie-Jolie; the forum has a different vibe these days. I am - of course - not looking to offend anybody. Personally, it just doesn't feel quite the same. I used to LOVE checking the VP forum. I agree %100 with all you said!!! |

I was glad to see a space provided for those who wish to express their feeling on certain topics.
I think we ALL understand that the tabloids print mostly rubbish! I honestly DON'T think anyone needs reminding of that!
This should be a place to to address the rumors - as caring Vanessa fans. It should be without fear of judgement from others.
Avi, you posted in the right place and did nothing bad or wrong! I get that sometimes we as fans can get confused and misdirected by the tabloids (they can even make us mad!).
This forum, so generously provided, should a "safe" place to discuss it without fear of being reprimanded from others.

I guess one can see discussing these things two ways. One, that it's just gossip and we should leave it alone. It's also none of our business, really.
But the other is that because we care about Vanessa, we're of course concerned about her. So in discussing this amongst other people who care about her, we are in essence comforting one other. Discussing it by going, "What do you guys think about this?" etc.
I guess it's all in how you present your discussion. If all one wants to do is gossip about it, then yeah, others will get upset, feeling protective of her.
For myself, I feel it's really is none of my business. The reports make me sad, but all I've got is Vanessa's word, so I believe her, until I hear otherwise. Then I just leave it at that. No matter what the truth is, what can I do about it?

Thanks for your words, but I'm truly sorry now because I didn't think that the people here (or wherever) could pay more attention to the part where it talks about her dinner companion  , etc- because obviously I understand it as IRONY of the author (considering that in the same paragraph it states the "musical collaboration", isn't it clear?)- and not to the part where it mentioned about why media are not so sure now about the alleged separation: "There’s still nothing definitive about Vanessa and Johnny though. It’s been 3 months since PEOPLE’s cover story declared them “all but finished” but now no one really knows for sure. For instance, she still flies on his private service and they have been in LA on a few weekends at the same time several times..."I will not post things so open to interpretations (bad?) again! |

Hi everyone, I came back today to wish Jack a Happy Birthday (not that he'll ever see but any way, haha!) and I'm sorry I created such a fuss with my last post, really didn't mean to! I was being a bit over-dramatic, I suppose seeing the same argument arise in unrelated threads every few weeks just got a bit frustrating. Creating a thread for discussing it seperately is the best idea in my mind as it allows those who do not support discussion of Vanessa's personal life to avoid having to see posts that may offend them & stops the arguing. And for the record I agree & always have that its pointless to speculate about their relationship but I guess for people who don't visit the site that often the rumors are new for them & they may want to talk about it without too much judgement, so this thread I think, is for the best. We are all fans of Vanessa so we all share more in common than we do in differences I think. Anyway sorry again for creating a storm & don't worry, if I come across any good bits of info/news I will always post here |

All this rumors is really crap! We will know soon the truth, becuase in May is "Dark Shadows" premiere and they will be asking Johnny about it and i'm sure what he will tell. Let's think about one very important fact. Why Vanessa and Johnny looks so happy today??? They don't really seem to break up. THEY ARE HAPPY! If they really love each other so why they are happy? Because it's all invited by stupid people who doesn't have any important interest, only offend stars. That's all!!!!  |

Carla, we can't be sure that Johnny will say anything about the rumors during the Dark Shadows promotions. The interviewers are getting instructions of what they can ask and what not before they interview celebrities.
But I do hope he'll say something! It'll help a lot in stopping these rumors, which, in my opinion too, are rubbish. I believe Vanessa much more than I believe the tabloids...they 'predict' the break-ups of so many celebrities, all the time. For example, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are breaking up every day, by the tabloids words. And last year the tabloids said that 'a trustworthy source' declared that Will and Jada Smith are breaking up. And they didn't. On the contrary, they look very happy together. I heard that Jada Smith made a love-song in honor of Will. So yeah, the tabloids are sreading a lot of rubbish.
Time will tell us everything, I guess.

Yes, maybe if Johnny says something the rumors will finally stop because they didn't when Vanessa herself said they were false. These rumors have been going around for months now and there is nothing more to discuss because nothing happens.. We don't see them together but nothing confirms they are not, so.. Even if they were having problems, Vanessa said that they were not separating and it's her word that we have to believe, not the magazines..
I agree with Lotanx3. I think only time will tell us.

i had no plans in comment on this thread but here i am, i agree with lotan and for example after jada and will has made public appearances together the press still insists they are on the rocks or that their latest appearances are staged to pretend they are fine, they are pretty nasty and they'll try to say the same if johnny and vanessa appear together.. and vanessa said on 2009 (i think) that she feels tiny and uncomfortable going to events with johnny... here is a new pic of johnny www.depplovers.com.br/gallery/albums/userpics/16904/HQ08~10.jpg (the image is too big so i beg you to copy and paste the link on your browser) and he still has the 3 hearts tattoo (one is for vanessa, the others for lily and jack) sure is not like the 'winona forever' tattoo but that little heart represents vanessa and supposing 'they broke up definitely' as the press says, he would have removed it and i see three hearts there. and of course they dont believe her because they dont know her and if they believed her that will not sell magazines they need to invent a lot of stories about it so the media pretends that she lied to protect her children and privacy, it will be cool if johnny says something on one of the dark shadows premiere next month maybe that will shut them definitely, or maybe not but at least people won't believe them anymore and they'll get bored |

I totally agree with you, Valentina. The tabloids denied Will and Jada Smith's statement and kept saying they're faking their relationship. Why? Because happy stories don't sell magazines.
They do that with so many celebrities. So now they've decided to cling to Johnny and Vanessa.
I also think like you, many people ignore Vanessa's comment about that issue simply because she's not well-known to the world like Johnny, and the magazines are trying to squeeze everything out of this story.
But I don't know if a comment from Johnny will stop the rumors aswell. As I said, the tabloids don't like happy stories. Plus, I don't know if he'll say anything about it during the Dark Shadows promotion, I hope he will.
The best solution, I guess, is just waiting for the rumors to pass. Everything will be more clear afterwards. But I agree with you Valentina!
