Sorry, Ludi, but I also understand that she is saying they remain friends (between them) and for her, they are her family!  In the interpretation that you do, I couldn't understand why she would do a "difference" between consider them as "friends" and then mention that "for her" as a "family" in the same "sentence"! |

She would not be allowed to say that they stay friends to each other.
In French, the words she use are clear : "ils restent DES amis" and not "ils restent amis". And she does not say they are family for her but that she considers them as an entire family (not separated).

I wonder is something might have been lost in translation. I imagine Patti's original quote was in English, then translated to French, and now translated back to English. A quotation can morph so much when that happens.

To be honest, all these dating rumors since the split anounment with Johnny are getting ridiculous, how in earth she is dating 2 men each month that david guy, now Benjamin Biolay dating at the same time, oh and John Nollet last month lol Agree, I doubt she is dating anyone, just hanging with friends. Van just got out of a long term relationship with johnny depp...right now i would assume her only intrest these days is her kids and her music...And her career....just my oppinion.
