Just saw a tweet that Vanessa won Best Actress for Cafe de Flore !! Not sure its true but sure hope it is?? Can anyone verify? Was she there to accept, if she did win??

Kitty, I didn't watch it, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't there to accept the award, if she won. I hope you're right, if you are, congrats to Vanessa!  |

Yes, yes, yes ! Vanessa won the awards for best actress ! Café de Flore won for Best makeup & best visuals effects too !
So only 3 awards on 13 nominations...
Vanessa wasn't here to receive her award.

That is so wonderful that she won, I am so happy for her. I watched at little bit of the interviews before the show and saw where they talked to Vallee and he was saying what a humble beautiful person Vanessa is, but we knew that. It is still nice to hear it especially from the director of the film.

I watched the Jutra this night and... Best Photography for Pierre Cottereau Best art direction for Patrice Vermette And Best actress for Vanessa  Vanessa wasn't here but she left a note that JMV read to all (More or less) "Pour ce soir au cas où, je remercie Jean Marc Vallée pour qui je dois tout pour la composition de mon rôle.
