Thanks!
I was not able to zoom in and read it. Can someone post it so that I can zoom in on it?
Was this article from an interview of Vanessa or is this a tabloid?

Can't really read French, but I'm sure they are trashing Johnny and picturing Vanessa as a saint. I could tell they said he looked "haggard" on the Letterman show. Sorry, but he looked fantastic. And I will never understand how Vanessa can stand to hang out with that fashion guy. He is one scary looking guy. Johnny isn't perfect and neither is Vanessa. Why can't magazines be troubled to print the truth, instead of making up 'facts." I do know that Johnny has spent most of the last year with his kids in L.A., but I'm sure they forgot that little fact.

That's true the title of the article is not nice for Johnny. As she was a prisoner of him ! or he was a tyran !

I can't even imagine Vanessa giving an interview of this sort. And can anyone even imagine Vanessa being a "prisoner" of anyone? She strikes me as a very strong woman and Johnny has implied, long ago, that in their relationship, she was the strong one. Kind of sad, that the French press, in order to "support" one of their own, they feel they have to trash Johnny.

She loves the children and probably spends much skype time with them when she's away working on her projects or in France. But I am also tired of reading how Johnny "left" the family because we know the children never stopped attending school in L.A. and have been living with him most of the last year. Maybe they will spend the summer in France with Vanessa while Johnny films the Black Mass movie?

This "Gala" story displays a Vanessa bias, but it isn’t nearly as ugly as some of the pro-Johnny anti-Vanessa garbage I've read in U.S. gossip mags. Tabloids are the same the world over. The U.S. rags praise Johnny, some express hope that he and Amber what's-her-name are indeed an item. Then they'll include an inset pic of Vanessa (like the one here of Johnny), and they'll make sure it's the most unflattering, candid shot they can find, where she's wearing no makeup, frowning, etc., with a caption that reads, "a tired, lonely Vanessa Paradis ... " Then the article will imply that Vanessa is nothing without Johnny. IMO, Johnny and Vanessa BOTH look much happier, healthier, and relieved since their split. Regardless of what went wrong, all you have to do is look at recent photos to see that the breakup was the best decision all around. I love 'em both, I adored them as a couple, I was sad to see them split, and I wish them both well. (I'm a little amazed at how much I cared about this breakup, as if they were people I know personally - I usually never care about celebrity couples.) It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Vanessa is the stronger of the two, though. She always seemed that way to me, and she has handled herself beautifully throughout this ordeal. I loved her recent quote (I don't recall the source), something like, "It's nobody's business, and nobody knows what happened because nobody has done a proper journalist's job." WHOAH, go Vanessa!

Actually, in the American press, Johnny got the rough end of it, in most places. They kept saying he was cheating, although not one time, in the past year, were they able to get a photo of Johnny with anyone. For a town that has a million paparazzi and everyone with a camera on their phone, it's quite amazing that they were unable to show any proof of infidelity. Of course, over here, it's all ancient history. There is only the occasional slur toward him. And, as Vanessa said "nobody knows what happened because nobody has done a proper journalist's job."

Of course, over here, it's all ancient history. There is only the occasional slur toward him. And, as Vanessa said "nobody knows what happened because nobody has done a proper journalist's job." I actually think the media completely backed down after a few weeks. I don't think I've read negative words about either Johnny or Vanessa in the past several months(Not including the silly story about him leaving Vanessa for the stewardess he was seen hugging or the Closer one about Vanessa). The major hoopla was in the first few weeks, and even then it wasn't AT ALL a unanimous report(what I mean by this is that they didn't have a real story so there were various scenarios).Even then the worst ones were from the gossip sites/blogs,and the tabloids had various stories.Since then in all the articles about them it mostly says "split after 14 years together","Vanessa said this and that", "they were growing apart in the last few years","He's rumored to have had a rebound"(with positive spin),etc. I think what actually caused some initial trouble among the gossip sites and gossip mongers was that the annoucement happened a long time after the "real split" as we know happened. But even those groups backed down and came around. Outside the major fandoms or people who follow all gossip sites closely,I think this was a VERY low-key breakup, which first of all tells you that the media had no real material, and then shows the great way they both handled it. Vanessa had every chance to indulge in some Johnny bashing but she didn't.And instead said that no one knows the truth,or it was an unhappy relationship. Because of the evidence and her quotes,I think even the media has admitted they don't know why this couple broke up. And the above article is the least they can come up with. I just don't like the way they datract from the relationship by making it a "prison" for Vanessa.I think it was a great, loving relationship for most of the time it lasted. Just b/c they broke up,I won't forget everything Vanessa ever said about the relationship.

I haven't noticed the American press trashing Johnny. I also don't read the tabloids. They are not a reliable source of information. Their goal is to sell magazines and get hits to their websites. They know that printing anything about Johnny Depp will accomplish their goals. They are not in the business of saying nice things about people because that does not sell magazines.
I think what Johnny and Vanessa had was something very unique and special. I go back and reread the interviews where Vanessa talks about Johnny and interviews where Johnny talks about Vanessa. (I am talking about interviews from the time they were together.) This was not a "disposable" relationship where they dated a short time, broke up and quickly got over each other. I believe that they deeply love each other and that they will *always* deeply love each other. I also think that they both deeply love their children.

I was hoping a little that a recent gossip rumor that Johnny & Vanessa were on vacation together was true, but I guess it's not. I wish them and the children happiness. Does anyone know if the amount of time Vanessa stays in France & U.S. is determined by her visa status?

Does anyone know if the amount of time Vanessa stays in France & U.S. is determined by her visa status? I don't know how that works, but I know she hasn't had a problem staying in US for long stretches of time all these years. I doubt she has limitations. She's just been a bit more busy this past year,I think.

What he said, American press trashed Vanessa endlessly so is doing french press to Johnny, when they have a bad picture of Vanessa they post it and make a big deal about it, when they have pictures of Johnny looking bad they post it and make a big deal out of it like here, it's what they do, it's their job, no surprises here, I don't really care anymore I cared last year but now? come on it's not 2012 anymore the little scandal is over. What i was going to say is that Van looks so pretty in this pic imgbox.com/abhtBHQn even if her hair is a mess! lol and Lagerfeld gives me the creeps
