Elle Driver is launching sales on Audrey Dana’s hormonally charged comedy French Women capturing the trials and tribulations of 11 Parisian women over a 28-day period featuring one of the biggest and starriest female French ensemble casts ever. Vanessa Paradis, Isabelle Adjani, Laetitia Casta, Sylvie Testud, Geraldine Nakache, Julie Ferrier, Marina Hands, Alice Taglioni, Alice Belaidi, Melanie Doutey have all signed to co-star alongside Dana. “French Women is a film by women for women and the men who love women,” explains Dana. “The actresses represent all the glorious different facets of ‘la femme francaise’ and the Parisian setting will play a pivotal role.” The picture will interweave the stories of 11 Parisian women over a 28-day period – from March 21 to April 17. Their tales will pivot around the life of one of the characters, Ysis - a 28-year-old woman with four children. “We follow Ysis throughout the course the film. Like many women her life is full on, like the ball in a pinball machine that has just been fired,” says Dana who co-wrote the script with Murielle Magellan and Raphaelle Valbrune. We know a little more about the role of Vanessa in this film: She plays Rose, statistician engineer and businesswoman. Very nice, very classy, very intelligent, very all. This is the only who wakes up fresh in the morning ... This is the one we want, the one that we would all like ... yet!
