This is amazing news (if true), and I really hope it is! It would be Vanessa's first big English-speaking movie! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, thanks for the news!

sounds great!! I wish is true, but we will have to wait, with Vanessa you never know Vanessa refuses this kind of films, she never really wanted to do that movie with Johnny either it the project never had green light but he was really excited to do it that was a big project, and I heard that she also turned down Amèlie looks like she prefers to do small productions, maybe this is a small project but starring big names of foreign actors so I hold out hopes that this could happen  PS: I love John Turturro if you have seen him only in secret window you have to! he is fantastic very underrated actor, also I love love Sofia Vergara |

She turned down Amèlie because she was releasing Bliss. I hope that's true this time, would be great to see her in a english movie!

I'm also kinda skeptic but I do hope it's true, I'd love seeing Vanessa in an English-speaking movie, that would be great! We'll wait and see, I guess.
Aline, when I first heard Vanessa was supposed to play in Amelie I was so disappointed that she turned it down! Such a sweet and beautiful movie.

Exciting news if it works out! Sounds like Vanessa wouldn't have an *enormous* role, I'm sure it'll mostly center on the male leads, but still! And what a fascinating, hilarious cast! Given the comedic prowess of Allen and Vergara, I wonder if she'd yet again play the "straight" character like in Heartbreaker.

This sound like a perfect opportunity for Vanessa to make her English language film bow and she'd be in great company. I would love to see her do a real Woody Allen film and this will give her a chance to be noticed by him. Since she will probably want to be in LA as much as possible while the children are in school, maybe this is her first step toward establishing a stronger U.S. career presence. Here's hoping.

About the comment on "Amelie." She auditioned for that role, but did not get cast. She did not turn it down. I remember her name mentioned as one of the actresses who auditioned, before the other French girl was hired.

Oh interesting, thanks! Sadly, usually characters that play themselves in real life doesn't last a lot on the screen, that's how I usually remember it. But I hope she will be on the screen for enough time! It'll be very interesting to see how she'll be in the movie!

She'll be playing herself?? So its like a cameo role? Confused! But still, wonderful news! Its always a treat when you can go to the cinema to see Vanessa's movies, doesn't happen all that often for those of us who live outside of France, can't wait for this And Woody Allen is a great friend to have in the movie industry, lets hope this leads to even more  |

I imagined she would play a small character but I wasn't expecting a cameo  maybe she will appear singing in some scenes or I don't know.. this is so interesting but we will have to wait a lot I doubt we will see her on the trailer usually the cameos are shown in individual clips just before the movie is on theaters |
